Airflow Needs Vary Day-by-Day, and even Hour-by-Hour

Not every day is the same for every person. Temperature needs change based on:

  • What the person wears to work
  • How he/she is feeling physically and emotionally
    - may want to be warmer if under-the-weather (or just stepped in a water puddle)
    - more likely to come to work if they feel work will not make them sick(er)
  • Want to close their door for occasional privacy, without the temperature changing
  • Might WANT to work extra minutes/hours early or later some days, but won’t if their office HVAC is turned off

Conference rooms and common areas vary based on the number of persons in the room, whether or not the door is closed, how energetic the debates are, etc.

Even weather changes airflow needs. Strong sunshine through large windows makes a large difference from a cold rain

Human comfort is affected by both Temperature and Humidity. If an office does not have Humidifiers & Dehumidifiers as part of their HVAC system, a temperature control system should automatically vary Temperature to insure employee comfort based on Humidity levels

  • Hot days feel even more hot & muggy when Humidity is high
  • Cold days can feel even colder depending on Humidity
